Kuonji was the principal of the Elementary Division at Gakuen Alice. He was called ESP (Elementary School Principal) by fans or PSP (Primary School Principal) for short. He was the primary antagonist and his intention was to gather as many Alices as possible to overthrow the Anti-Alice Organization andgain more control from within the government that oversees Alice Academy.

He has the appearance of a child, even though he is actually a lot older than he appears. He has dark colored hair (dark red in the anime) slicked on his left side, and dark green eyes. During the
Flashback Arc, before Yuka inserts Alice stones in his body, he had the appearance of an adult.
Like the High School Principal and Middle School Principal, Kuonji had the skill of appearing serious, dignified, and loyal, being informed of the Academy’s day to day events and the actions of the students. In truth, however, his true persona was kept hidden from others, even from Persona and Luna Koizumi themselves. Unlike the other principals, Kuonji believed anyone below Alice holders are useless, such as having expressed disgust and contempt for Aoi Hyūga when he learned she was secretly held captive by Persona in the Academy. He also had no qualms in using students as agents for dangerous missions on the Academy’s behalf, as he often sent Natsume Hyūga on such missions despite his fragile health and showing no regard for Tsubasa Andou when he went missing while on a mission. Although he exhibited kindness and loyalty towards Persona and Luna, he revealed this to be a complete facade, having fabricated this soft side of him to simply manipulate them and would willingly betray them and discard them if they went against his orders or were no longer useful after fulfilling their duties. Kuonji even believed the other principals’ efforts to maintain peace for the students to be ludicrous and order could be achieved through brutal means.
Kuonji’s true motivation was to gather as many Alice stones as possible in order to enhance his strength and create the necessary amounts of clones to overthrow Z and gain more control over the Anti-Alice Government. Essentially, he desired nothing but power and control over every single Alice holder so he could claim their powers as his own. However, due to his child form and having lost a significant amount of his powers as a result, Kuonji sought to obtain a holder of the Stealing Alice so he could return to his adult form. To achieve this, he spent twelve years sending the clones he previously created across the country looking for such an Alice and also recruiting more Alice holders he could use for his benefit. Kuonji accumulated a secret criminal organization with the oblivious Dangerous Ability Class, which included crimes of bribery, abuse, torture, and murder. He recruited his followers based on their emotional turmoils and Alices; he freed and manipulated Persona into killing Izumi in a heated rage and then covered it up by offering Persona to work for him; he treated Luna with kindness while she was feared and rejected by others and turned her against Yuka by spreading lies of Yuka conspiring against him. His influence over Luna was so profound that she believed he was in love with her.
When not serious and in the presence of others, Kuonji was critical and harsh, openly criticizing the other principals and belittling the students for their resistance against his ideals. His deep seeded hatred for the other Alice holders stem from Yuka Azumi’s rejection of him trying to use her for his own agenda and her eventual escape, which included her inserting the Alice stones that turned him into a child and decreased the extent of his powers. Upon learning she possessed the Stealing Alice, Kuonji used extreme methods to isolate her and manipulate her, even going as far as to contemplate forcing her to marry him and it was rumored he had made intimate advances towards her. Kuonji also showed the traits of cold-blooded psycopath, as he personally ordered the murders of Yuka, Izumi Yukihira and possibly Kaoru Hyūga. He showed traits of vengefulness, as he was enraged at Natsume’s attempts to kill him and demanded that Natsume and Mikan suffer for their rebellion. He also showed great rage at Persona for betraying him in favor of saving Mikan and to atone for his crimes. Kuonji rarely shows fear; once when Z invaded the Academy and Shiki refused to relate the barrier unless the horrified Kuonji agreed to reform for the students’ sake; secondly when Natsume attempted to kill him while Kuonji was injured; and thirdly when Luna turned against him and consumed his soul to kill him.
Despite his obvious disdain for Z and the fact it’s boss is the son of a clone, Kuonji warmly welcomed Z’s boss during a visit to the Academy and was surprised when the man sacrificed himself to protect Kuonji from Natsume. However, Kuonji did not mourn this loss by gladly claiming Z’s boss’ Alice as his own. It appears towards the end of his existence, Kuonji’s only thoughts were of being the most powerful Alice holder ever and seeking vengeance against those who opposed him; Tsubasa even goes as far as to call Kuonji a selfish person who only thinks of himself and not the students despite their lives being risked.
Kuonji became the youngest person in the Academy’s history to be promoted as a Principal and he served as the moderator for the Elementary Division. However, after becoming principal, there immediately was suspicion regarding Kuonji’s intentions, as he created the Dangerous Ability Class and assigned the students to missions that he justified as being for the best interest of the Academy. This put him at odds with the High School Principal and the Middle School Principal, who disagreed with his actions.
Although the other principals and teachers felt this alone was unjustified and against the ideals of the Academy, no one was able to confront Kuonji and, as revealed by Nodacchi, the teachers feared Kuonji due to the loyalty the Dangerous Ability Class harbored for him and Kuonji had clones who managed to accumulate government positions that could put the academy in a difficult situation should the Academy’s secret activities be exposed. As a result, Kuonji was able to carry out top secret missions and criminal activities for several years without being held accountable.
Fifteen years before the main story takes place, Kuonji witnesses Yuka accidentally use her Stealing Alice on Luna Koizumi. Kuonji became filled with desire for her due to realizing how beneficial her Alice would be for him. He promptly began isolating her from everyone and ordered her to remove the Alices of dying Alice holders so he could gain possession of them. To break her will, Kuonji confines her to a room all day and night for several days, only occasionally visiting her to give her orders on missions. When she pleaded for him to release her, he either ignored her or spoke how special she was to him, even forcing her to kiss him and it was suspected it had made unwanted advances towards her. After two years, Izumi Yukihira learned of Kuonji’s treatment towards Yuka and rescued her, and Yuka received protection from Himemiya. Kuonji refused to give up on losing possession of Yuka and sought out manipulative methods to get her back. He turned Luna against Yuka by showing Luna kindness and treating her as a lover, resulting in her falling in love with Kuonji and further rejecting Yuka, whom she came to believe was a rival for Kuonji’s attention. He also convinced Luna to use her Alice on other students to harass and bully Yuka. He managed to accost Yuka at one point and told her his idea of forcing her into a marriage but she rejected him.
When he found out that Izumi returned Yuka's feelings, Kuonji contemplated a way to get revenge on Izumi for taking Yuka away from him. He released Persona from his prison and told him that he had a great Alice, and that Izumi was to blame. He then called Izumi into his office and initiated a confrontation between Izumi and an enraged Persona. He watched Rei use his Alice on Izumi and kill him. Before his death, Izumi tells Kuonji that he will not have his way. Kuonji convinces the officials that Izumi’s death was a suicide despite the suspious circumstances, and offers to cover up Persona’s involvement in exchange for Persona working for him. When Yuka learns of Izumi’s death, she confronted Kuonji, who admitted not only did he arrange the murder but he did so to punish Yuka. In retaliation, she put the Alice stones of Izumi and Persona in his body and, as he was crippling in pain from the stones’ effects, she vowed to get revenge against him. He was found by Luna and sent to the hospital and his body began shrinking. He asked Luna to help him capture Yuka and convinced her that he was unreasonably attacked by Yuka. Luna, who undoubtedly believed Kuonji, pledged her allegiance to Kuonji. While in the outside world, Kaoru had been keeping an eye on Kuonji’s clones and contacting Kazumi with the developments. Kuonji ordered agents for the academy to chase Yuka as she was on the run, unaware she was pregnant with Izumi’s child. A few years later, Kaoru’s espionage activities became to much of a liability that Kuonji possibly ordered her death by staging it as a car accident.
Yuka eventually discovered that the leader of the Z Organization was the son of one of Kuonji’s clones, which made no sense since Z opposes Gakuen Alice. However because the man was the son of a clone, the bond with Kuonji was not as strong. Z's boss was rebellious against Kuonji and asked Yuka to join the Organization. She reluctantly accepted in order to seek revenge against Kuonji following Kaoru’s death.
Though not seen the teachers are heard discussing by Natsume that Kuonji didnt want Hotaru Imai to see her parents. This was because of Hotaru's parents refusing to give Hotaru to the academy in the past and that fact Hotaru was with Mikan who is deemed as troublemaker. This waslikely the time when Kuonji became aware of Mikan's true identity as Yuka’s daughter and became interested in her. Kuonji met with Persona, discussing that they need to moderate Natsume more, but can still control Natsume through threats. However, Kuonji expressed that they need to do something else when it comes to Narumi's meddling.
Christmas Party Dance
In the Christmas Party Dance, Kuonji disguised himself as a middle school student and danced with Mikan Sakura. Mikan was unaware of his true idenity and was a bit suspious of him. She noticed that he appeared the same age as her, but his mannerism was different. After making her mask slip, he told her not to lose something important to her, referring to the legend that if one's mask slips unintentionally while dancing at the Christmas Party Dance, they will lose something important to them. Kuonji then left with a disguised Persona.
Hime Hana Arc
When Persona accidentally infected himself with his Alice while fighting with Mikan, Kuonji learned Persona had also been hiding Aoi Hyūga in the Hime Hana dungeon. Kuonji commented how Persona was affected by parent and child, and expressed disgust towards him and Aoi.
Sports Festival Arc
After learning of Mikan removing Persona’s Alice from inside her body, Kuonji realized Mikan had inherited Yuka’s Stealing Alice and, to force her to fully awaken it, he ordered Luna to disguise herself as an elementary student to harass Mikan and cause problems to her that will force her to use her Alice. He observed the Sports Festival with Kazumi and Himemiya. When Luna sent some controlled students to attack Mikan, who subconused her Alice to remove Luna’s Alice from them and brawled with Luna which resulted in her using her Alice again, this unquestionably confirmed Kuonji’s suspicions. He then made arrangements to have Mikan transferred to the Dangerous Ability Class and dropped his pursuit of Yuka, as he deemed her useless.
Time Travel Arc
Kuonji ordered Mikan into his office with the other Dangerous Ability class members so that he could formally transfer her to the Dangerous Ability class and make use of her Alice. Before doing so, he sent Natsume out on a mission to
prevent him from interfering. He welcomed her into the class and referred to her as his "precious favorite". Kuonji then has Luna brawl with Mikan, who steals Luna’s Alice. Kuonji was amused and laughed, saying how amazing she was. When Natsume came to protect Mikan, Kuonji pointed out that Natsume loved to play the knight in shining armor for Mikan and called him a foolish child. As Mikan and Natsume escaped, Kuonji ordered Nobara Ibaragi to capture them, but she refused and the two ran off. Kuonji appeared enraged at the thought that Mikan and Natsume running away together, as it reminded him of how Yuka and Izumi did before. Mikan, Natsume Hyūga, Ruka Nogi, Hotaru, Nodacchi , and later Tsubasa Ando, Tono, and Nobara go to the past to learn more about Kuonji and Yuka.
High School Division Arc
When Mikan went through the window to warn her father of his demise, Kuonji learned their location in the High School Division. When the group returned, they found Kazumi’s office destroyed and everyone disappeared. Nodacchi suspected Kuonji had the Academy officers attack Kazumi and the others. Noda showed his hand with the Alice controlling bangle had become blacken from Kuonji transmitting signals. He tried to capture Youichi Hijiri and had Luna take control over Subaru Imai. Kuonji attempted to hit a tranquilizer dart at Yuka, but Narumi protected her and helped her escape.
Left with no other choice, Kuonji orders Goshima to assasinate Yuka. Mikan and Yuka attempt to escape from the Loophole door but it exploded and Yuka passed away from her injuries. Kuonji arrived and reacted coldly when he saw Yuka’s dead body. He ordered Goshima to bring Mikan to him as Yuka's replacement and taunted Natsume for his weak body when his flames failed to break the ESP's barrier. His barrier was however broken by an enraged Shiki. Kuonji ordered Shiki to give him Yuka's body, but Shiki angrily refused and said that he might as well take Mikan and the students away from the academy because it was Yuka's will. Just then, the barrier broke due to Himemiya’s weak condition and Z attacked, alarming Kuonji. Everyone realized that Z's boss wantedto kill Kuonji. To protect the children, Shiki offered a deal with Kuonji that he would serve as the new MIddle School Principal if Kuonji agreed to 4 conditions:
1) He wouldnever cause chaos to the academy again.
2) The false accusations against the High School Principal would be erased and his rights be restored.
3) The punishments for the students involved in the rebel would be in Shiki's hands.
4) The whereabouts of Yuka's body would be in only Shiki's hands.
Kuonji angrily refused all the conditions but faced with an invasion from Z, he reluctantly agreed but on the condition that Mikan would be transferred to his care. Shiki rejected this however. With no other choice, Mikan sadly agreeed to his deal and Kuonji said that as long as Mikan was under his control, he wouldnot harm her physically and mentally, and would provide her with psychological treatment for her trauma.
With Mikan under his control, Kuonji was told not to physically or mentally harm her or else Shiki would annul their deal and have Kuonji punished. But, in addition to Mikan agreeing with Kuonji’s deal, he would have every right to punish her if she disobeyed him or attempted to escape. He was allowed to visit her once a week for a few minutes, which he tried to force her to remove the Alice Stones Yuka inserted into him but Mikan refuses each time. On one of his weekly vists, Kuonji said that, as Yuka's child, Mikan was obligated to remove them. She refused to do so, preferring to remain a captive rather than abide Kuonji’s demands. Clearly annoyed with her refusals, he coldly reminded her that he would never release her.
Kuonji later sent a request form to Shiki, ordering Shiki to return his Clone Alice stones to him on grounds of ownership and Shiki's criminal past. Shiki and Nodacchi deduced this was because his child body would not be able to produce another clone, and by returning to his adult form, he would have the full power to create another clone and take over Z. This was proven true when Kuonji was seen breathing heavily and Z's Boss, was also breathing fast and coughing. However, Kuonji then smiled while Z's boss was in agonizing pain. Shiki theroized Kuonji was planning to overthrow the Z Organization by manipulating Z's Boss by means of his Alice. Shiki and Kazumi discovered Kuonji had secretly formed an alliance with Z and invited Reo to host the New Years Concert, which prompted them to arrange an assasinate attempt with Narumi to carry out the act.
When Z arrived at the Academy and Kuonji saw Z’s Boss, Kuonji welcomes Z's boss by patting his head and calling him his "other self". Before the concert was ready, he met with Luna and Persona, and told them that they were still under his command and would attend the concert to take control of Z. He also tells told that they would use the concert as a way to trick Mikan into breaking the concert so he could gain use of her Alice. When Luna protested, Kuonji told her they were destined to be together and affirmed his belief she would never betray him. As the concert began, Reo suddenly used his Alice on the crowd to attack Kuonji. Kuonji managed to teleport away from the attack and stood behind Reo, surprised that Reo dared to ambush him. Kuonji taunted him for his actions and had a
bodyguard attack Reo. Just then, Kuonji was ambushed by Narumi, who held his new clawed hand against Kuonji’s throat, taunted him for being blind about Pheromone Alices and that he woild send Kuonji to hell. Kuonji calls him a terrorist for his actions and said that he coild not get away with it. But, Narumi talked about how he planned to free the students and avenge those who have suffered and died because Kuonji, which terrifies Kuonji as Narumi spit his throat. However, it was revealed Narumi injured Goshima disguised as Kuonji and the real Kuonji appears as Narumi was shot by an academy officer. Kuonji tried to convince the students that Narumi was a terrorist but the students didnt believe him and began attacking him. He got struck by Jin-sensei's lightning, but he had his barrier protect him from most of the attacks. However his barrier began weakening due to the intensity of the attacks and his bodyguards asked him to escape. Natsume tried to use his Fire Alice to kill Kuonji, which succeeded in badly injuring him but didn’t kill him because he escaped at the last second. Angry, Kuonji ordered Mikan be brought to him immediately because Shiki has violated their agreement. While being treated at the hospital, he learned that Mikan had escaped from her room and used her Stealing Alice, and he ordered Luna to capture her and bring her to him quickly. He was then angry when he learned Persona had betrayed him by helping Mikan and lashed out that he was the one who protected Persona from punishment for killing Izumi all these years. He told Luna that she was the last person he believed in and again ordered her to find Mikan. He and the Fuukitai then considered escaping after realizing that Natsume and the others were getting close. However before he coild escape, Natsume, Ruka, Tsubasa, Tono, and the teachers found him. Natsume unleashed a powerful fire ball at Kuonji to try to kill him again, but to everyone's shock, Z's boss protected Kuonji and took the blow. Z’s Boss disappeared and turned into an Alice stone.Kuonji claimed the stone, regained some of his power, and was about to attack Natsume until Reo used his Alice on the school intercom to snap the controlled student back to reality. Appalled that Reo was defending the academy, Kuonji mentally called to Luna that she was the only one left to help him. Natsume sets Kuonji on fire in order to kill him for good. When Natsume lost conciousness and Mikan foundhim, she subconciously used her Alice to try to save him. In the process, her Alice dispersed Natsume's flames and Kuonji escaped but was severely injured. Enraged from Natsume's attack, he ordered the Fuukitai to prevent Mikan and Natsume from escaping despite their own severe injuries. Tsubasa, appalled that Kuonji still putted his own desires above the students' lives, attempted to attack him. Before he could use his barrier to protect himself, Luna hugged him from behind and asked him to stop. Luna gave Kuonji a speech of how he had become blinded by obsession over power and ignored her feelings for him. She decided to stop him herself by using her Alice and would tend to his body until it would revert to that of an infant. Luna assured Kuonji that she loved him but her decision to end his life would be his punishment for his crimes. Luna bit on Kuonji’s neck and removed his soul from his body, and after he passed away, Luna mourned his death. Days later, news of Kuonji’s death was met with happiness and joy from the students. The Dangerous Ability Class was promptly disbanded and Jinno succeeded him as the Elementary Principal.
He had the clone alice that, unlike Misaki Harada's Doppleganger Alice, did not disappear over time. By using his Alice, he was able to spread himself all around, gaining power. One of his clones shown was a chairman of a successful company with ties to the government. The other shown was Z's boss, who is a 'second generation clone', being a clone of a clone; because of this, the connection to the original (Kuonji) was slightly diminished.
When Kuonji created aclone, he created a copy of himself that contained a part of his Alice (hence why they were killed when Yuka stole the Clone Alice from within them). The clone 'took half of his age', so for example, if he were 40 years old, he became 20 and a clone that was an exact copy of his 20 year old self was produced. The clones chronologically aged and grew older, as shown with the clone who was the chairman of a company that Yuka stole the Clone Alice from.
Kuonji had a telepathic connection to his clones, and so he could control them and use them to his advantage. That way, he had 'spreaded himself' throughout the world and had clones in high positions of influence, which in turn putted him in a great position of power and influence. The clones had extremely similar interests to Kuonji (this also applied to secondary clones, though was slightly diluted with distance from the original).
'Second generation clones', 'secondary clones' or 'copies' were clones (or in some cases children/offspring) of clones. Since clones contained a part of the original's Alice, they could themselves use this alice to create clones (though they did not have enough of the alice to allow them to control other clones). The resulting secondary clones had an unreasonable feeling of rebellion against the original. These repeated series of clone creation from clones created a sub-species of beings, and the more distanced from the original the more rebellious and hard to control they were.
An example of a secondary clone is Z's boss, who had the stones taken from clones inserted into his own body, giving him enough of the clone alice that he could control other clones. This way, he gained power and became a formidable enemy to Kuonji.
Main article: Yuka Azumi
Kuonji held Yuka captive and forced her to steal other people's Alices when he discovered her Stealing Alice. Often times, to torment her, he locked her in a big dark room for several days, even when she pleaded for him to let her go, and would only release her unless she did what he told her to do. Kuonji’s desire for Yuka seemed to have not only stemmed from wanting to use her Alice for his benefit, as he forcibly kissed her and there were rumors that he had an intimate relationship from her, though the rumors circulated among students who disliked Yuka. Kuonji went as far as to propose marriage to Yuka but she rejected him. When Izumi found out about Kuonji’s treatment of Yuka, he took her away from the Kuonji and Kaoru also saved her from him. Despite that, Kuonji told Yuka that she belonged to him and she would never be able to escape from him. When he found out that Izumi returned Yuka's feelings, Kuonji manipulated Rei into killing him and even taunted about it to Yuka when she found out the truth. When Yuka inserted Izumi and Persona’s Alices into him in retaliation for her lover’s death, Kuonji’s desire for her turned into deep hatred because Yuka’s decision to do that resulted in him reverting to the body of a child and losing a significant amount of his powers. He sent his loyal officers out to find her after she escaped, intent on forcibg her to remove the Alices she put in him. However, after learning about her daughter's, Mikan, Stealing Alice, Kuonji decided that Yuka was of no use to him anymore and ordered Goshima to kill her when she tried to get Mikan out of the academy. After seeing Yuka had been killed as ordered, Kuonji had no reaction other than indifference, as he felt he had done away with a major obstacle that stood between him and his goal. It would be Kuonji’s decision to have Yuka murdered that provoked Narumi to agree to work for Kazumi and Shiki as a spy and then agree to assasinate Kuonji.
Main article: Mikan Sakura
Kuonji knew right away that Mikan was Yuka's daughter, due to their close resemblance and of Mikan having the Nullification Alice. He grew interested in taking her as Yuka's replacement if she possessed the Stealing Alice and sent Luna out to confirm if Mikan had the Stealing Alice. Once his suspicions were confirmed, he made plans to transfer her to the Dangerous Ability class with intents on using her Alice for his own benefits. When he announced her enrollment in the class to her, he sinisterly smiled at her and welcomed her, calling her his precious favorite. When her friends and the teachers tried to help her escape, he had the academy police chase her and even ordered the murder of her mother as a last resort to stop Mikan from escaping. Even when faced with an invasion from Z, Kuonji refused to give up on Mikan and said he would only agree to Shiki’s negotiations unless Shiki agreed to transfer Mikan into his care. Kuonji tried numerous times to force Mikan to remove the Alice stones from inside him but her refusals made him angry and he vowed to keep her imprisoned as long as possible. Although he appeared enchanted by Mikan, this was simply because of his desire for her Alice and Kuonji actually had an intense disdain towards Mikan for being Yuka’s daughter and for her refusal to cooperate with his demands. Even when Mikan was seriously injured during the final battle, Kuonji didn’t careless and his only demand was to prevent her from leaving. After Kuonji was killed by Luna, Mikan, who never wished for his death despite his horrific actions, was greatly relieved.
Main article: Natsume Hyūga
Kuonji had used Natsume has a pawn for the academy and forced him to do its dirty work. He took pleasure in causing Natsume physical and emotional pain by threatening to harm his closest friends (ex. Ruka and later Mikan) if he didn’t follow orders. Kuonji was aware of Natsume and Mikan's feelings for each other, and tried to keep Natsume away from Mikan as much as he could. He frequently taunted Natsume for his weak body and not being able to break Kuonji’s barrier and defeat him. He also called Natsume a foolish child for thinking he could protect Mikan from him. It wasn’t until the joint rebellion of the students and Z that revealed Kuonji actually feared Natsume due to his Fire Alice being capable of overthrowing him. This was proven accurate when Natsume tried to kill Kuonji twice in a moment of rage and desire for revenge. Kuonji was deeply terrified of Nstdume but after surviving both assasination attempts, Kuonji wanted revenge on Natsume and was willing to let Natsume die, which deeply angered everyone.
Main article: Luna Koizumi
When she was in middle school, Luna fell in love with Kuonji because he treated her with kindness while everyone else rejected her. While Kuonji was kind to her at times, he actually had no interest in her and was simply manipulating her into working for him for his benefit. To win Luna’s absolute trust, he feigned a romantic interest in her and convinced her that Yuka had deliberately stolen her Alice. After Yuka forced Kuonji to revert to a child’s body, he convinced Luna to work for him and help him find Yuka, which she agreed to do out of hatred to Yuka for the damage she inflicted in Kuonji. At some point, they became lovers. However, when Yuka was murdered and Luna realized Kuonji ordered it, she was shocked Kuonji would have been capable of such brutality and questioned her loyalty towards him. Eventually, Luna realized Kuonji’s never loved her and she had sacrificed everything she ever loved to appease him. To atone for her own sins, Luna made the decision to end the life of Kuonji, the man she loved and knew would never change. After his death, Luna mourned him and vowed to tend to his body until her own death.
Kuonji was on bad terms with the Kazumi due to the Kazumi’s suspicions of the Kuonji’s crimes and regarding Izumi's mysterious death. Kazumi helped Yuka escape from the academy and defended Mikan from him, and even wanted to go far as to have Kuonji assasinated to prevent anymore people from suffering a tragic fate. Kuonji was also despised by Himemiya, who had always known about his crimes. Many of the other teachers feared and distrusted him because of his treatment towards the students, particularly the Dangerous Ability Class, and his inconsideration to their well-being. Many students, especially Mikan and Natsume, held deep hatred towards Kuonji and contemplated getting revenge on him, as Kuonji was responsible for the deaths of Mikan’s parents and possibly Natsume’s mother.
He had control over Persona by manipulating him into thinking everyone hated him for his Alice and they needed to be punished for it. He made Persona the teacher of the Dangerous Ability Class because of his cold treatment to the students. He succussfully manipulated Persona into killing Izumi by saying it was Izumi's fault that he was locked away and viewed as a dangerous Alice holder. However, deep down, Persona became remorseful of his actions and he ultimately betrayed Kuonji by helping Mikan get away from Kuonji.
Kuonji was able to manipulate Goshima into betraying Kazumi by becoming a spy in his behalf. In return for his service, Kuonji promoted Goshima as the president of the student council and promised him significant benefits. For someone as loyal and honest as Goshima to become a traitor for Kuonji came as a major shock to those who personally knew Goshima.
Kuonji hated Izumi Yukihira, Kazumi’s younger brother, because he was Yuka's precious lover. He was irritated when Izumi saved Yuka from him one time. When Izumi returned Yuka's feelings, Kuonji decided to put an end to his relationship with Yuka by tricking Persona into killing him. However, he was disturbed when Izumi's last words were that he wouldn't have his way.
He was despised by the Z Organization, especially by Z's boss, who wad actually the son of one of his clones. Kuonji hated him as well, but planned on gaining his trust by promising more control of the academy to him and then killing him and taking control of the Z Organization. However, Kuonji and Z’s Boss seemed to have had some form of affection to each other; seen when Kuonji embraced Z’s Boss after welcoming him to the academy and Z’s Boss sacrificed his life to protect Kuonji from Natsume's attack.
